He was Scotland’s Strongest Man in 2018 and 2019, Britain’s Strongest Man in 2021 and 2022, and World’s Strongest Man in 2021. He’s also one half of the “World’s Strongest Brothers”. It can only be one man: Tom Stoltman.
In the short break between the Arnold’s and World’s Strongest Man, strongman prep is well underway at the Stoltman compound, deep in the heart of Scotland. You can bet the brothers will be cold water swimming, deadlifting, log pressing, sandbag throwing, axle pressing and eating their way through training. No stone will be left unturned in preparation for the big event.
That includes the ultimate test of strength: atlas stones.
We all know Tom’s a strong guy. He’s not called the “King of Stones” for nothing — he’s the world record holder, after all. Still, it’s always surprising to be reminded just how strong he really is. He lifts that stone like it’s a pebble. But it’s 210kg.
In fact, it was so easy, he had plenty of energy to spare after, doing some sort of shoulder shimmy to celebrate. If he wasn’t so strong, we’d say he was in the wrong business. He’s got some moves.

If Tom lifts like that at the event in May, it’s likely that the World’s Strongest Man title will be coming home with him once again. We can’t wait to see him smash it for a second year running.
