It doesn’t matter what age you are — sometimes you just can’t beat a bowl of chocolatey cereal.

Lucky for us, @healthy_floflo is on hand with another incredibly easy air-fryer recipe to put a new spin on a childhood classic. You still get to enjoy the same satisfyingly sweet and crunchy snack, just with an impressive 14g of protein. Talk about winning.

Made with just five simple ingredients, this homemade cereal can be whipped up in no time at all. We recommend doubling or even tripling the quantities so you have a whole batch of these irresistible balls of chocolatey goodness to last you the week. They’re perfect for breakfast, as a mid-afternoon pick-me-up, or post-workout protein hit.

You can get as creative as you want with the flavourings, too. Flo’s used one of the all-time classic Impact Whey Protein flavours, Chocolate Smooth, but you can switch it out for your favourite flavour. Chocolate Orange or Dark Chocolate & Salted Caramel are next on our list to try.

Makes 2 portions

Ingredients

Instructions

1.

First add the oat flour, Impact Whey Protein, cocoa powder, and baking powder to a mediumsized bowl.

2.

Next, add the coconut oil and mix all the ingredients together. You can begin by using a spoon, but it’s easier to combine the mixture with your fingers so you can press the ingredients into a firm dough.

3.

Once you have a combined ball of dough, take off little pieces and roll them into small balls using your hands. Repeat until the entire mixture is used up.

4.

Place all the little balls into an air fryer and cook at 180C for 10 minutes. The result should be super-light and crispy cocoa balls that stay crunchy even when the milk has been added!

5.

Want an even bigger protein boost? Flo recommends mixing up another scoop of whey protein with milk to use instead of plain milk or milk alternative. Double whammy.
