Just when you thought French toast couldn’t get any better…

When it comes to breakfast, French toast has to be top tier. Best enjoyed on a long weekend morning and with a big mug of coffee, it’s a fun way to mix up your breakfast.

And as if it wasn’t already good enough, Holly Brooks (

) has made it macro-friendly.

These Protein French toast bites feature a massive 39g of protein with all the taste of classic French toast. And they’re even cuter because they’ve been made into little bitesize chunks. Let’s get cooking.

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together your egg whites, milk and protein powder. 

  2. Spray a frying pan with cooking oil and while it’s heating up, tear the bread into small pieces and dunk into the French toast mixture. 

  3. When the pan’s hot, add the dipped bread pieces into the pan. 

  4. Fry until golden on one side, then flip and cook on the other side.

  5. Plate up and top with berries and caramel sauce before digging in.
