Well pleased with Myprotein's almond butter. Tastes exactly like the premium brand at the supermarket, but much cheaper. Fresh, long expiry and great in smoothies, paleo brownies or straight from the tub. Goes Well With:Smoothies, desserts, by itself.
I've always been a big fan of peanut butter since a kid and was delighted to find that the Myprotein peanut butter in 100% peanuts. However, after discovering this Almond butter I'm never going back to peanut butter! Pros - Consistency: easy to spread and mix in to porridge. It's not as thick and solid as you would expect from 100% almonds as it's been blended well - Taste: delicious. The fist teaspoon is strange as you're thinking about peanut butter. After 2 or 3 though I was completely sold - Size: 1kg! Lasts ages! You don't feel bad adding it to cake mixes or putting a big spoonful on top of pancakes as it's so large and therefore great value - Nutrition: better than peanut butter! Cons - It makes me eat a lot more nut butter and as I'm trying to lose bodyfat there's only so much which I should have.
